Sewer inventory data in ISYBAU XML — from small inspection areas to complete inventories

aquadrat ingenieure GmbH · Griesheim, Germany

aquadrat ingenieure GmbH

aquadrat ingenieure GmbH, based in Griesheim, Germany, is an engineering firm that works with sewer network inventory data on behalf of its municipal clients.

aquadrat itself does not operate its own Smallworld or SEPM system — instead, its clients run the SEPM ISYBAU interface within their own Smallworld environments, and aquadrat uses it to exchange data with external service providers and other project stakeholders.

Challenge
Efficiently exchanging sewer network inventory data — including presentation objects — in the standard ISYBAU XML format, across projects of very different sizes.
Solution
The SEPM ISYBAU interface, used within aquadrat's client environments to export and re-import inventory data for internal departments and downstream systems.
Results
Fast, streamlined operation even on large projects, standards-compliant data exchange, and reliable SEPM support when questions come up.

01Challenge

The goal was efficient provision of sewer network inventory data (Kanalbestandsdaten) in the ISYBAU XML format, including presentation objects, so that data could be made available to internal departments and downstream systems — across projects ranging from small inspection areas to entire inventory datasets.

03Solution

The ISYBAU interface in client environments

Within its clients' Smallworld environments, aquadrat uses the SEPM ISYBAU interface to:

  • Export smaller areas for inspection work and re-import them after processing
  • Hand over entire inventory data ranges to other systems or project stakeholders when a broader user group needs internal access
  • Exchange data in a common format during system transitions

Lean, standards-compliant exchange

With the SEPM ISYBAU interface, inventory data can be exchanged in line with the current wastewater guidelines — complete, consistent and standards-compliant.

The same lean workflow covers both small inspection exports and full inventory handovers, and SEPM support is on hand for questions or adjustments.

“The lean application makes operation quite simple and, depending on scope, very fast. When there are questions, support is quickly available to help.”
